Onnetsu therapy is an autoimmune health care method that warms up the body using heat through physical stimulation which in turn helps blood circulation to improve health. The specialized medical device is designed and based on the modern science of far infrared discovered by NASA and the ancient traditional Japanese moxibustion concept that unhealthy cells are cold and lack energy. Onnetsu therapy searches for those cold spots deep inside of our body and applies far infrared waves with proper heat, using the theories of acupuncture and moxibustion. The invisible waves of energy have the ability to penetrate all layers of the human physical body, into the innermost regions of the tissues, muscles, and bone.

It was first confirmed by NASA that among the rays of the sun FIR is most essential and beneficial for life and growth of all living things on the planet, and is indispensable for any life form to exist. Using this knowledge, Far Infrared technology and the theories of traditional Japanese healing modalities, FIR Onnetsu therapy was first developed by a Japanese acupuncturist, Dr. Mitsui.

Onnetsu Therapy has been responsible for the improvement in conditions such as arthritis, asthma, cancer, colds/flu, diabetes, fibroids, Lyme disease, hepatitis, parasites, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s, thyroid and more.

Benefits of Onnetsu

Clinical experience has shown that Onnetsu therapy may be used for a number of conditions and issues and that the benefits include:

  • Balancing of the autonomic nervous system
  • Relieves muscle aches and pulled muscles
  • Improves blood circulation by expanding the capillaries that carry blood
  • Helps supply nutrition and oxygen to cells
  • Increases the number of white blood cells and killer T-cells
  • Improves metabolism and removal of waste in blood cells
  • Attracts calcium ions to the cellular level
  • Eases mental stress and many forms of pain
  • Reduces swelling and inflammation by improving lymph flow

Here’s How it Works

The basis of Onnetsu therapy is founded in the understanding that a body in low temperature is more susceptible to diseases. Cancer cells, for instance, easily multiply in a lowered temperature (95 degrees F) and become weak and/or are killed in higher temperatures (104-107 degrees F). A patient’s immune system becomes susceptible and loses resistance against disease when the temperature in the body is reduced. Onnetsu therapy aims to restore proper heat inside the body through far infrared waves that can reach 10 inches deep while not causing any negative side effects. The infrared (FIR) radiation is a subdivision of the electromagnetic spectrum that is safe for the body and has been greatly investigated for positive biological effects.

Onnetsu Therapy has the same effects as acupuncture, moxibustion, and massage. The heat alleviates muscle aches as well as delivers heat to the deepest parts of the body, and is a simple thermal therapy to apply heat to any part of the body with accuracy.

When applied to the surface of the skin, the Onnetsu device provides the body with a rich source of oxygen, and increases blood circulation and oxygen supply to damaged tissues (aiding the reduction of chronic joint and muscle pain), promotes relaxation and comfort, induces sleep and relieves stress. Other known actions include a revival of the function of the autonomic nervous systems by balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, promoting circulation of hormones and other body fluids, as well as Qi flow. Onnetsu therapy also improves the quality of white cells and increases a patient’s immune response.

To further describe Qi energy, when a person is ill, the flow of Qi internally can be interrupted and can cause various organs to malfunction. If proper information can be delivered inside the body, or if new information can be generated within the body, the organs will be able to resume proper function. This is how acupuncture, magnetic therapy, far infrared therapies, and many others work to reinstate proper energy flow and promote healing.

Fundamentals of Onnetsu therapy include:

  • Applying heat through the skin to warm the inner parts of the body
  • Indicates with hot sensitivity when heating an area with illness
  • Transfers the wastes to the blood and lymph vessels
  • Reduced hot sensitivity follows with subsided aching
  • Eliminates germs susceptible to heat and smooths the blood circulation

“A remarkable method of healing with no side effects…Onnetsu has helped so many people.”

Science and Safety

There have been numerous studies on the therapeutic effects of FIR products. One clinical study done by Dr. Gordon Ko and Dr. David Berbrayer at Sunnybrook and Women’s College Health Science Centers at the University of Toronto showed: “Significant improvements in both subjective measures of pain and discomfort associated with Raynaud’s Syndrome.”

Questionnaires to more than 500 users of far infrared (FIR) devices revealed that the majority reported an overall improvement in health. Far infrared light, the safest segment of energy that comes from the sun, offers a wide array of therapeutic benefits for various health conditions. Studies demonstrate that far infrared helps enhance circulation in the skin, modulate sleep, ease pain, protect against oxidative stress, and relieve inflammation.

In a recent study, secondary outcome analyses showed that moxibustion was as effective as drugs in alleviating menstrual pain-related symptoms.

Findings suggest that repeated (Far Infrared) thermal therapy may be useful for mildly depressed patients with appetite loss and subjective complaints.

NYCIM + Onnetsu Far Infrared Therapy

At the New York Center of Innovative Medicine, Onnetsu therapy is one of many different treatments considered for each patient. However, the use of this therapy is only performed on patients after an in-depth initial evaluation reveals it would be necessary for your personalized program of treatment. Because each person is unique, and their health needs are different, there is no set protocol for using Onnetsu therapy nor is the patient able to request the use of this therapy if the medical team finds it would not be as helpful as another treatment or specific combination of therapies. The ultimate goal is the complete restoration of health in the most efficient and safe manner, and with so many therapeutic options, it is impossible to know if Onnetsu far infrared therapy is right for you without an initial evaluation at our clinic.
